Dried Mealworms are a prime source of nutrition for many wild birds and are a particular favourite of tits and blackbirds without the need to handle Live Food. For an even more appetising treat try soaking these Mealworms in a little water overnight.

Mealworms are ideal for feeding from specialist Mealworm Feeders, sprinkled on bird tables, the ground or mixed in with other foods as a high energy and appealing addition.

These Dried Mealworms are also suitable, as a treat not a food replacement, for feeding to chickens, reptiles, large ornamental fish and garden mammals but feeding to hedgehogs should be avoided. It is ok for hedgehogs to pick up a few mealworms dropped from bird tables for example but not to be fed in any significant quantity as they can cause a very harmful bone condition in these spikey visitors. If you are lucky enough to have hedgehogs visiting your garden then the best food you could provide would be any flavour of wet dog or cat food, either from a tin or pouch for instance.
