I need to buy further seed for these sparrows as they are eating me out of house and home although the numbers have gone down lately. I have noticed that the population is less somewhat lately - is it all this dreadful weather or these awful cats which roam by trying to kill any bird they can get and one pigeon was found dead on the ground in my patio which is all very worrying and obviously attacked by one of these black and white twins (cats) which patrol my garden.. Bought 26.kg off Twootz seed for the sparrows and starlings. I mix it with Insect pellets instead of mixing the flavours this time as I think the birds like the insect ones the best - not sure as they like it all really, They definitely need feeding more this cold weather so I am happy to put on my scarf and big coat to go out in the early morning to keep the feeders topped up so they don't go hungry - they also need more in this weather to keep warm.

These boxes MUST be separated and NOT taped up together to make one!!!! It is extremely DANGEROUS for the customer and the delivery person!!!!! It was that bad i left them in my passage way for a good 2 weeks as i couldn't bear to have to shift them in to my shed!!! I just shifted them now whilst pulling my back out and extremely out of breath!!! This has made me very ill!!!!! the fat balls box ended up with a big load of crumbs all over my floor!!!!! If I'm struggling in my 40's then how the hell are old age pensioners coping with this nonsense unpackaging taped up boxes!!! Always good service and price from Twootz. I have been shopping with them for years now and wouldn't even consider trying to look elsewhere. They are normally always the best price and you can rely upon them. Love the Insect pellets for my sparrows and blue tits and tried the sunflower pellets mixed with the original bird seed which helps them flow through the feeder. I have bought the peanut pellets before and they were quite fancied by the birds so going with them again this time as well as my Insect ones which always go down a storm.

Wild Bird Original Seed Mix 25 kg is good quality and price is competitive - however, the problem is with delivery.
I ordered the product on 4 December 2022 - today is 16 December and I still have no delivery, no emails/message from Twootz and no response to my messages, that i left on their website.
This is not acceptable.
If I ordered through Amazon, the product would have been delivered by now - or I would be offered money back.

Cheapest price on the internet, as always! My birds love this seed. I am putting out two mugs full every day, as well as Twootz nuts and fat balls. The seed is wolfed down by sparrows, blue tits and pigeons. They sit on the roof and in the bushes every morning, waiting for me to come out and feed them! Anything that is spilt is soon hoovered up by the blackbirds - nothing is wasted! If I had to pay shop prices, my birds would starve. Thanks Twootz!

While I can't fault the quality and the price of the products, I've become very disappointed with the delivery service now provided. I've been buying from Twoptz for a couple of years now and the delivery wait is getting ridiculous. So bad that I'm considering paying more and just collecting bits from my local pet shop.
Whenever I contact customer service over the delay in sending out my order I get the same reply, that they "have marked as a priority and will be sent the next day". Invariably this doesn't happen and I'm still left waiting. As soon as the courier gets the package it is delivered swiftly, so all the delay is with Twootz.

It's a shame because it never used to be like this.

No response received to emails nor 'instant' messages.
Nobody is answering the phone and the voice mail box reports as full.

Brilliant multi species feed for all year round

Having bought poor quality seed elsewhere previously was a bit concerned about buying unseen. But glad I took advantage of the £9.99 offer. It is a bit dusty, but no 'cornflakes' and the small birds seem to love it, the squirrels enjoy what sunflower seeds fall to the ground and the wood pigeons, doves and feral pigeons clear up anything left behind. Everyone seems to be happy!!

My last order was placed on the 12th. May and actually received on the 25th. May, 2022, and only after I had contacted Twootz complaining about the non-delivery. This was not an isolated occurrence. Over the years I have been obliged to contact Twootz on numerous occasions about slow despatch.
Better pull your socks up Twootz, or with prices rising all over, customers (myself among them) will be looking elsewhere for cheaper goods and a far, far better purchasing experience.

The bird seed I have no issues with. Birds love it. But with products that can be delivered overnight, why it takes 10-14 days for Twootz to deliver is a let down.

I wish Twootz would improve their quality control. I recently ordered 25Kg of wild bird seed mix again as the previous 2 12kg clear bags were well liked by the birds, and had quality seeds, suet pellets and mealworms. Happy birds.
When the next 2 12kg bags came they were from Dawn Chorus, 'Wild Bird Original'. I could see that about 70% of the 'seeds' was grain, (looks like barley shovelled up from a grain store floor), which is now all over the ground as not one single bird, not even a visiting pheasant, will eat. Waste of money. How can customers buy with confidence if the product changes from what was ordered before?

The birds love this seed and get through two mugs of seed a day, as well as Twootz fat balls and nuts. There is no waste - what one leaves, the next one eats up! Best value online too!

In this day and age it is a pleasure to report avery efficient and speedy service by Twootz.
The bird seed was good quality- you can tell as there was no dust. The price was very good and on offer. Ordered 25 kg so when that has gone will have no problems in reordering.

Spring is definitely in the air as this batch of seed id being wolfed down extra fast - the birds are very keen at this time of year it seems. There is a fair bit of wheat in the mix so some of that is left but I still think this is a good basic blend in spite of this.

Best value food for all year round feeding for all birds (and squirrels)

Was delighted at speed of delivery this order - especially at the moment due to driver shortages etc. - I find there is quite a high proportion of wheat grains but its a good staple basic mix for the price.. There is less waste on the ground in the winter as birds hungrier but in milder weather a fair bit of wheat is left on the ground - can cause sprouting so not great near well kept lawns ,

By the way the feeders are emptied the birds love it!

The birds in my garden love this dawn chorus bird seed, I can't keep up with them I have to fill the bird feeders every day. The only complaint I have is there's a lot of dust in the seed which clogs the feeders but I can put up with that. The delivery is excellent.

Due to lockdown we've not been able to travel to obtain our usual bird seed, and have purchased this instead. Unfortunately, this is not very good - it's full of dust, straw, random bits of unknown matter and, in one case a couple of 2cm stones. I hasten to add this is no reflection on Twootz themselves - we buy the majority of our supplies through them and they are excellent in both quality and price, it's just that the brand of pre-packaged seed currently being supplied (Dawn Chorus) is rather poor.

I was wary to purchase this product because being in the trade and retiring after 40 odd
years and and being a regular customer of Twootz I could not believe the price of this
product, just thought birds won't eat this how wrong was I ,put out a sample tray of just
this mix and all the birds finish it up. So Twootz thank you I have now ordered more of
this product. So before you buy elsewhere try this and like me you will be more than

Not too bad for the price however the birds here are not so keen on some of the larger grains/wheat and leave a fair bit of waste on the ground which is starting to sprout so I will have to sweep it up before we have a wheat field! there is some straw mixed in which has to be picked out when filling feeders.

Parcel arrived but when opened one of the sacks of Bird seed had burst open as package appeared to have been dropped in transit. It may be better to send them individually packed rather than tape the two boxes together.

I buy the bird seed along with the suet pellets for the seed eating birds.
These are not only eaten by the small birds in the garden but also a family of four crows, regular visitors with the magpies since the pandemic struck.
They have been absolutely starving when the fast food establishments were all closed, no regular source of food. It has been amazing to watch all different types of birds eating together, seeming to know that there was a general food shortage.

I also have a colony of water voles living in my garden, and put the seed on the ground for them. They are such shy little creatures, I don’t see them very often, but during the very dry heatwave saw them regularly coming and taking the seed back to their home, and was privileged to spot their young as well

This is excellent wild bird food. The only problem is that the sparrows love it so much I have to keep refilling the feeders. I’ve been buying this food for a couple of years and it is definitely a good buy.

I purchased the wild bird food with suet thinking that it was one I had bought before. However I must have had my previous one from a different supplier. This mix is predominantly wheat . Non of the birds will eat it - even the feral pigeons wont eat it. So I now have 25KG of seed which will go to waste .

I would not recommend this product unless you have very unfussy birds in your garden.

The birds in my garden are mainly sparrows and starlings.

They eat the suet pellets straight away, but they aren't so keen on the Wild Bird Mixture.

They discard the shiny seeds, which are picked up by a couple of pigeons on the ground, but seem okay with the other stuff.

This seed is great.It's not too powdery and doesn't clog the seed feeders we use. Will definitely buy again.

The bird food is well liked by the various birds in our garden and by the pheasants that visit us. It came as two separate packets within a box and I would certainly buy this again as the seed appears to be nice and dry with no dust.

The local wildlife is of course the judge of how good the bird seed is. That said the garden is a busy haven for all sorts of species and hopefully over time a few dditional new ones will start to appear.

The sparrows love this and there are regularly 4 sparrows on the large feeder at a time!

I am a repeat customer of Twootz and from my latest order I have seen a marked decline in the quality of packaging. My order of 25 kg of bird seed was packed into a vey thin polythene bag which split as soon as I picked it out of the bios. You can imagine the mess and trouble I had clearing it up and the amount of waste. Previous orders of this product has been in thicker white bags which were superb for storage and carrying without risk of splitting.

The seed product itself remains good quality.

Within 15 minutes of putting this bird seed down my garden was full of different types of birds eating it. There were sparrows finches starlings etc. Food went quickly they liked it.

This is an excellent product for the numerous birds and species I feed.
The problem that reflects in my Negative Rating on the Products condition, is that
the Plastic Bags that hold the feed in the Boxes are so flimsy that they split while trying
to get them out of the Box into my decanting Sealable Plastic Boxes.
So a lot of sweeping up, but I expect the little mice that pop in from time to time will be pleased!

I tried this product as a change from my usual mix because it had included suet pellets as well, however the bags appears to be nearly all wheat! I presume the suet pellets are more expensive so the other seeds have been reduced to compensate. Not a patch on my local feed supplier who I shall be continuing to use.

I have been buying this product for years and am happy with all aspects of the purchase until now.

The new boxing is excellent and welcome if only for the ease of storage with the ability to split the two boxes without opening them offers.

One big problem though: the plastic bags holding the seed are not strong enough for the bag to be lifted out without them bursting - both did so which is really not acceptable.

Please try it out for yourselves.

Meanwhile, I am experimenting with the possibility of puching a hole in the bottom of the box with the plastic bag still inside whilst I hold it over the storage bin.

The seed is generally very good but, the Suet pellets disintegrate into powder and I have to sieve the last third of a 25kg bag to get rid of the dust. Also the sparrows will not eat the wheat seed and throw it out of the feeder onto the tray I have underneath. The pigeons will occasionally peck at it but, usually I am left with a third of a bag of wheat seed that the birds will not eat. Not sure what I can do with this seed apart from put it in the compost bin, which seems a waste of money. Is there any other seed you can replace it with??

There is a fair bit of dust and straw in the mix and the black sunflower seeds seem pretty dried out and husk like - there also seems to be more whole wheat. Happy birds again. Filled up thir feeders and within minutes they were squabbling over whose turn it was to gobble up the seed. They love this mix. What the mall birds drop the doves are soon cleaning up underneath.

These seeds feed a wide range of birds that visit us. In the cold weather the feeders rarely stay full for long, we top up twice per day after the morning fill up.

Buy this seed regularly as it is a good staple and quality for the price. The birds get through it rapidly and there is hardly any waste. Slightly dusty but not enough to clog feeders. I sometimes beef it up with sunflower seeds for a treat! But the birds round here like it even without.

Good basic seed mix for some of my bigger visitors

Excellent feed and the birds love it.

As the weather is getting colder the birds are eating more and can't get enough of this seed. I have just taken another photograph of my garden with at least 150 birds. There are all types from large to small, seagulls, wild parakeets,pidgeons, wood pidgeons, black birds going down in size to sparrows,wrens and tits. I even have a robin...the first this year in my garden. They all love this seed and only the magpies will chase them off. All the rest feed happily together. They swoop around me whilst I am scattering the seed and even touch me when getting close. This seed and the birds have brought real joy.

Having used this product for the past year, I have now had to order some more. The birds that come to our garden really like the mix of seeds put out for them. We have seen the young come and go, and we like to think they will come back next year, for their brood. The mix of these seeds appeal to all birds, we have pheasants, woodpeckers, blue tits, great tits, coal tits, chaffinches, hedge sparrows, jays, doves, to name but a few. So I would rate this mixture of seeds and suet pellets very good. Highly recommended for my birds.

This seed is exceptional for the price. The suet pieces can sometimes break down into dust which the smaller birds quickly eat up. All this seed goes very quickly. I have a variety of regular callers who munch all the different seeds. If I am late feeding them, they are all waiting, sat in my tree, on the fence and wall watching for me to emerge, and when I do, they all start calling as if announcing my arrival. It is like a big cheer goes up! Ha Ha. Well recommended.

Great value, great quality and waste is minimal. We have a variety of birds visiting us here in southwest wales but by far our best customers are sparrows. We are lucky to feed a flock of about 30 sparrows regularly. Unfortunately a sparrow hawk also dines at our table.

Have now got a reputation amounst the birds of good seed available. They keep telling their friends and I now have at least 200 birds waiting for their seed twice a day. They are even intelligent enough to know feed times and only turn up 10 minutes before and leave when full. A bit like my family !!!!

This as a substitution for my original order and contains some annoying bits of straw that I thought would clog my bird feeders - however the birds seem to have dealt with it ok and lare eating it all and at the price is a good buy. Customer service was very good with offering me an alternative and it arrived swiftly.

We were buying this seed for the pigeons which come to our garden in the hundreds however we now have sparrows,tits and many other small birds as well. They all feed together including seagulls. They fly around me within inches as they come down from the roof. I feed twice a day and my roof is covered in birds waiting for the next session. This seed is great for all the birds.

This wild bird mix is extremely good value for money, the birds clear away every bit & no seeds are left on the ground to start shooting. I do have to purchase it more often though as it has encouraged so many more birds to the feeders! All good!

It is with a "heavy heart" that i,ve rated this seed very poor as it had improved greatly for a while and i,ve previously left great reviews for it since it improved however it,s as bad as ever again now. There were far too many empty sunflower seeds and only sunflower shells among the seed. It was also very,very dusty and poor quality. I just fed it to the ducks as the birds wouldn,t touch it in the feeders.Please bring back the better,improved version as this is not the same as it was.

Good quality for a value feed - a little dusty but blows away when filling feeders if there's a breeze - if not recommend blowing (as if cooling a plate o' soup) when filling feeders !

This mix is in smaller particles than I've had before & are cleared so quickly, there is no mess left under the feeders as the dunnock, chaffinches and collared doves eat every morsel! I'm really pleased with my purchase & will definitely buy again.

Have bought this seed mix on frequent occcasions as it is good value. This batch had more stalks and was dustier then other sacks I have bought - however birds are scoffing it so they seem to like it! I use it as a good staple mix and add some extra sunflower hearts to the mix.

I feed a large army of different birds in my garden each day from a solitary Nutach to about 20 Jackdaws.

Great value mix, I have never experienced any waste. it does contain chaff...but I find it great value for money. It's easily sieved.

I have never had any issues with the birds loving this...I buy it because of the wild bird mix...sometimes the chaff...is worse in some batches. I love the mix because of the variants in the seeds...the chaff is a pain... but Twootz have always honored any complaints, and looked in to their quality control

Good value for the money...but a lot of dust...to separate before use. The birds love it, I mix with suet and smaller seeds to attract smaller birds to. Worth buying if you don't mind sieving out the chaff. Maybe Twoots could request better quality control.

I've bought this product before,and keep coming back to it because all my little feathery friends seem to love it! Very good quality.

Birds are very picky and even in the freezing weather are not clearing up the wheat seeds! Will have to stick to the more expensive seeds. I just tried this to mix in the the all seasons fruit mix to make it go further but really a waste of time and money. .

I still have over 30kg left, this product has been ignored by the birds due to it's very poor quality and full of dust and what I have put out I have had to clear up and throw away as with the 30kg I still have

This is my second order for 50kg of this Bird Food. The quality of the first order was excellent. However the quality of the second order was certainly not!! Both bags were extremely 'powdery' and, in damp/wet weather, the product has caused all my bird feeders to solidify from the bottom upwards so that the birds are unable to feed from the ports as the feed does not drop down. This means that I am having to continually clean the feeders out which is extremely inconvenient. One only expects to have to do this on, say, a weekly basis but this has now become a daily chore!
I trust that, if I buy a third consignment, the quality will have improved considerably otherwise I shall have to seek a different product/source!

can't see any suet pellets in this, other than a few pink bits which may be the suet but hardly any of them so abit disappointed. Lots of waste too

Have just filled the bird feeders again, and the birds are following me round the garden. They seem to know that new stock has arrived. They are impressed with the wild bird original, plenty choice of small seeds and suet pellets.

This is a good product which the pidgeons love. We always use this bird seed.

Its ok but I seem to be getting a fair bit of waste at the moment.

I simply cannot keep up with the demand for your wild bird food. They LOVE it and empty a good-sized feeder in no time at all.

Have bought this mix quite a few time and it is good value for money. I have found this batch to have a lot more of the larger grains and the smaller birds are not so keen - I have supplemented the mix with some extra sunflower hearts.

It is almost all the same seed .
This being the cheapest seed that the birds like the least .
Because it is nearly all the same seed it is not flowing through it is not flowing through the feeders at all
I can now only use it on the bird table and the seed is still there the next day !
This is most unusual.
I will not be purchasing this item again .

One the whole the seed & suet mix is very good and the sparrows love it but, could you cut down on the cuttlefish bits as this turns to dust and clogs the bird feeder, I have to blow out the dust every morning from the feeder so the birds can get at the seeds.

The seed was very dusty when I opened the sack and did not look like the photo advert which showed nice shiny seeds. I hope the birds eat it .I have bought seed before and been OK . Hope this is just a one off.

My birds devour this seed! I have a small suburban garden with three feeding stations. Every day I fill up three seed feeders, three fatball feeders and three nut feeders, all with Twootz products, and every day the birds empty the lot! I have sparrows, tits, robins, wrens,starlings, doves, pigeons, blackbirds and finches. They all fight for the food. The bigger birds wait for the smaller birds to drop seeds and fatball crumbs, as well as feeding directly from the trays. Nothing is wasted. They love it. Twootz prices are so cheap, I can afford to feed as much as is needed and I buy in bulk, so even cheaper! Brilliant! Delivery is amazingly quick too, arriving in 48 hrs and delivered to my safe place. Couldn't ask for better service than that!

I usually feed my guys on the more expensive no mess, but thought I would give this a try as it was on offer. I will never look back. I now buy this all of the time. I was not sure about this seed as the price was too good to be true. However, I was completely knocked out when it arrived. It has lots of suet bits mixed in, not just a few but loads. Very good quality seed and an excellent price, a combination I have discovered describes Twooz. I am a loyal customer now and get all my supplies from here. Every thing is excellent quality with brilliant prices. I feed my birds twice a day, first thing and about 3pm in the afternoon two large scoops of seed and each time it is completely gone in no time at all. I definately recommend this product and Twooz.

This review is based on Wild Bird Original Mix only.
The service from Twooz is excellent, however the birds in my garden do not like them.
I have similar feeders hanging from the the same tree branch, one filled with Sunflower Hearts the othe r with this Wild Bird Original Mix. Several species wil come to feed, but will wait In the tree until the Sunflower Hearts are free totally ignoring the other feeder. So the birds here give the Wild Bird Original mix a big thumbs down.

this is brilliant for everyday food for 'general' feeding. I put it in one of my bird tables and get small birds (sparrows, dunnocks, tits) feeding as well as doves and pigeons feeding from it. Really good value for money too.

I ordered 25 kg seed from Twootz on Friday at lunchtime, incurring no delivery charges. This was a last minute order after being let down by the other company named above.
The seed just arrived, it is Monday 13.30.
Top marks for Twootz and for Yodel for their delivery too, I have heard some bad rumuors in the past about many delivery companies, but this is my only experience of this one and I am amazed !!
With some businesses, and considering the weekend, this might even be thought of as next day delivery, as many other sites forget about saturdays and sundays if an order is placed friday afternoon.
Mine was obviously processed, loaded and forwarded with complete efficiency, and that is a joy to any customer.

Purchased this for the ground feeder to attract larger birds such as pigeons and magpies away from the bird feeding station and it is much better quality than I expected. The local squirrels are tucking into it as we speak.
