We have a large population of Sparrows, starlings, blackbirds, Robins, blue tits and wrens in our garden every day. They nearly all eat the suet pellets, and sit there waiting for me every morning to put out the morning rations. Then its a mad free for all until every one has gone.

I have been ordering these suet pellets for a few years now and they are usually very good quality. The last 2 lots I have received have had over 1kg of powder in each 12.5kg sack which means an order of 25kg has 2KG of powdered pellet in them. The pellets appear to be very dry - probably lower quantities of actual suet in them which means they crumble down to a fine dust which is no good for the birds. I buy these around 12 times a year so 24kg of dust is costing me nearly £26 just to throw in the bin. Could Twootz please resolve this quality issue with their supplier?

Arrived in a soft crumbly form with many completely smashed balls, but did manage to remould most of the lumps and crumbs back into some sort of shape.

I think I know where the robin gets his red breast - it's from berry suet pellets. Every morning he is waiting in the rhodedendrum by the patio window for his breakfast and is now bold enough to land on his dish before I have put it down for him to eat. There is method in his boldness because these pellets are in big demand with his rivals so by getting in first he always gets his share.

I think we've tried all the varieties now and it doesn't appear there's a particular preference of flavour - they just love suet!

I do find the length of delivery is hit and miss, sometimes they're within the timeframe and others not.

Although I ordered four different flavours all four boxes were the same (berry). Also the quality was not as good as it normally is as there were a lot of crushed pellets. Not sure why the quality was not as good as it normally is. The birds still loved the product but a fair bit got wasted as it was just dust.

This garden is obviously the equivalent of meals on wheels because there is a huge queue lurking in hedges, trees & shrubs awaiting breakfast & they are desperate just now with so many beaks to feed.

Around 50-60 starlings congregate every morning & descend en masse for these pellets before moving on to the next mug! The huge numbers of sparrows & starlings coming to the garden are proof these pellets are sustaining many birds through winter that would otherwise perish.

I’ll start spreading dried mealworms sporadically from May onwards - a particular favourite with the Robins & wren.

In the evening before dusk the blackbirds are in evidence again as are 4-6 wood pigeons which can be quite bold if you don’t make sudden movements. We used to get a lot of collared doves when we put seed out but they are not so keen on the pellets so we are being shunned!

The feeder with suet pellets in has to be replenished twice a day! After sunflower hearts it’s their next favourite food!

All the birds absolutely loved them and in the current cold weather we are having to refill feeders every two days.

With snow for so long, these red pellets show up really well and have disappeared within minutes so being distributed around the garden. Over Dec to Jan I have gone through twice as much as usual as the bird life has been desperate. Just before dawn the blackbirds & robins have been the first visitors as usual but large birds such as rooks, crows, & jackdaws have also been attracted, such has been the shortage of natural sources of food.

Going by the ever increasing population of visitors to the garden year on year, there is no doubt the food made available is saving many birds that would have perished over the winter months. The downside is I am spending more & more feeding them. Gives you a good feeling though & isn’t that what it’s all about?

As ever the pellets are popular with a range of birds (blackbirds, starlings, robin to name a few). They are resilient to rain so hold up in the most inclement weather.
In addition, this time the plastic bags were much more robust so I am able to store the pellets in those bags and not transfer them into sacks with the inevitable spillages. Much appreciated!

These berry suet pellets are eagerly awaited every morning, first it is three types of tit, swiftly followed by sparrows, then come starlings, blackbirds and jackdaws amongst others. Most of the time it is consumed in an hour or two depending on what my neighbour puts out on their six feeding stations, Without doubt these are the best value suet pellets, of good quality and loved by many of our feathered friends. I have used these for 5 years and have no reason to change.

My dickie birdies love these. Only problem is that now they don't want the other stuff I have paid good money for! They just want the suet pellets. Well, they do eat some of it, of course, but these are their favourite. I do wonder if the "recipe" has changed. The previous batch I bought had the most wonderful smell every time I opened the box. These don't have any scent at all. However, it doesn't seem to bother the birds. The starlings make a plague of locusts look like picky eaters. And, although I'm too late to write a review, I'll just add that the birds love the peanut butter now that I've found a way to keep the wood pigeons away from it. The blackbirds enjoy this which is good as they can't use the hanging feeders.

At this time of year when the ground is frozen and bird baths frozen too, it is important to help our feathered friends overcome the lack of food & to provide fresh water.

I know some people will say "one brand is like any other brand" but that is not true.
I recently was given some berry pellets and peanut butter flavour pellets from another brand..........the birds in my garden did not touch them, so had to refill my pellet feeders back with Twootz ones; and it was a feeding frenzy straight away.

Hello again Twootz, just received latest package of berry suet pellets, know that all our garden birds will love them as per usual. We also have some ' new ' starlings that have arrived in past couple of weeks, (not sure if they've come in from Russia or Scandinavia - they haven't said where they're from!! ) and they have started to tuck into them in the feeders already. My wife also spreads some out on the grass for the doves that are regular visitors to us,, counted around 17 so they have been busy over the spring summer period. They too love them and tend to come down late in the afternoon prior to it getting dark. Hence the reason for needing to re-order a fresh supply from you. I have rated the product good as I'm not happy with the new size/shape of the boxers. The product doesn't fit neatly into the box (as it did with the older style boxes) The result is that the product often spills out into the box and as there is more room for the product to move around pellets get crushed resulting in more "dust".

The starlings are coming down in larger numbers every year and at this time of year it's the suet pellets which are being hammered by them all. The blackbird aims to be in early before the others arrive, but the sparrows are quite happy to nip in amongst the starlings and grab a pellet to eat in piece elsewhere.

Another order of Twootz Berry Suet Pellets arrived today (Saturday Afternoon).

Normally we put a supply out straight away as all our various feeders are usually empty come the afternoon (having been filled in the morning)..........but it's chucking it down with rain and a young raptor has been flying aroundfor a lot of the day, so the feeders have food in them.

Come tomorrow morning no doubt all 4 suet pellet feeders will be filled and pounced upon by the sparrows and sparrows.

.......................................and in a week or so's time, we will need another to order another 12.6kg worth.

We have a robin that eats the berry suet pellets exclusively and leaves the rest of the food that we provide to the others. Maybe he thinks it's what he needs to keep his red breast in good shape and it definitely does do that but he ought to try the others if his fellow birds are anything to go by - they can't get enough of everything else that Twootz can supply.

I can hardly fill the feeders fast enough to keep up with demand

I had to buy another 12.5 kg berry suet pellets to add to the nutty box of 12.5 kg ones to get the great price as these are the sparrows favourites. My kitchen is taken over with boxes of 12.5 kg different pellets that you offer each time so had to have them at the best discount price offered when buying in bulk - it is worth it as the birds love both of these so much. Shame no matter how many times I ask their cellophane bags be secured each time so they don't all fall out into the box as they arrive upside down, it is still arrives the same. Bring back their hessian sacks they used to use! Never mind, I will put up with it as I do like Twootz over and above others as great prices.

Just had another delivery of Twootz Berry Suet Pellets (12.6kg).

Having filled up all four of my suet pellet feeders, I actually timed how long it was before the first bird (a sparrow) landed on one of them...........22 seconds.

The quality and cost of the Twootz pellets is very good........and every bit is eaten, unlike some other brands/suppliers.

As a person who has limited storage space for bird food storage bins (my maximum storeage capability is: 5kg dried mealworm, 40kg of seed mix, 20kg of peanut butter and 20kg of suet pellets) perhaps there might be a market for mixed variety option in 12.6kg boxes? I am sure there are many people who have limited storeage who would like to have a variety of 'flavours', but buying in 12.6kg amounts perhaps prevents this (and taking advantage of bulk price compared to the price if sold in 2kg bags of old)?

I normally buy the mealworm suet pellets but there were none in stock so I went with the berry suet pellets. I was a bit concerned by the colour, wasn't sure it would put off the birds....I thought I'd try and sneak them in with the peanuts so the birds could get used to the colour. I don't know why I bothered they wolfed them down (even the pesky squirrels ate them). I'll definitely buy these again, in fact I brought the 12.6kg and shared them with my mother. I'm running out so I'll have to buy some more. Another fabulous product from Twootz - well done guys.

Within seconds of putting out some, starlings and sparrows were descending upon the hanging pellet feeders as if it was Christmas....... I suspect the Blackbirds and robin will be around later and scoop up the debris off the floor and those that fell into my ground feeders.

I know there are other brands out there, but the birds in my garden seem to like the product make up of the ones Twootz sell best of all.

Despite having to wait nearly three weeks for delivery, the birds finally had something to eat, and they certainly made the most of it. The pieces are slightly smaller than ones we have had from another supplier and this stops them from clogging up in the feeder.The birds are more than happy being fed again and they cannot get enough of it.

Was glad to see that Twootz had opened up for orders again on Wednesday, as the birds in our garden were beginning to bang on our windows and hold placards up, stating 'where's our pellets and peanut butter'.

Whether it is our birds are fussy, they do not like another brand that begins with 'B' pellets which are just left in the feededs.......but with Dawn Chorus ones, they have the tits, sparrows and starlings vying for best positions, all day.

Have only been feeding the Berry suet to my feathered visitors now for less than a week, and their numbers have vastly increased. So the word must have gone around that it is better quality than that supplied by my previous supplier.

I ordered the berry suet pellets for the first time. I mixed some mealworm suet pellets in with them to see if the birds had any preferences. Their preference seemed to be "serve more of everything!"

Blackbirds & robins feed first in the morning gloom and dusk followed in the morning by magpies then sparrows, starlings & tits, with the odd wren popping up now & again.

The consistency is good with no disintegrating in this batch. There was a problem a few years ago where things were too dry and crumbled to powder before the box was finished.

Have been a customer for sometime now and as usual, highly delighted with the products and very competitive prices. Note comments on your web site information page regarding adjustment of deliveries, and new provider of the delivery services. Unfortunately, we were one of the customers where advice given that delivery was to be expected on Wednesday, and we stayed in knowing a delivery was due. This did NOT happen, and received advice much later on that the order had been dispatched from yourselves to the delivery company, then a further e-mail advice from DPD saying delivery was to be Thursday p.m. Appreciate it is early days with the new delivery company, and no doubt once these problems are sorted, it will be much better, and avoid unwanted annoyance and inconvenience of being informed a delivery is due when it is not going to happen. This does not detract from my earlier comment that over recent couple of years, we are pleased and satisfied and would recommend you to others.

Have ordered quite a few times from Twootz through past year, and the wild bird suet pellets are the best value I have ever found. Buying in bulk sizes not only saves a lot of money over the much smaller bags available in other High Street stores, but means that especially during the spring time months, the birds in our garden always have plenty food available. We have starlings, sparrows, magpies, tits, woodpecker, wood pigeon, doves, and they all seem to enjoy the pellets, especially the berry flavour, although obviously they have not been able to tell me that in person. Their continued visits and the speed at which the feeders empty tells ME that they must like them. Can fully understand some delays are inevitable at the busier times with delivery, but any e-mail query to customer service is always received with a prompt response, and advice accordingly on the delivery schedule. The most recent delivery has arrived within days, and as usual the boxes are strong and well secure. Many thanks for your continued service. Our garden birds are happy and I was just as happy with competitive cost.

These pellets fly off the bird table - forgive the pun!!
The Jays have a spat with the Jackdaws to get at them and even the local woodpeckers nip at the Starlings to get a share.

The smaller birds love them, but with squirrels equally barging in for their fair share on the bird table - I make sure the hanging feeders not so easy for these larger birds and mammals to get at - get a shoot at having theirs!

We were a bit late in ordering more berry suet pellets, much to the consternation of the birds who are so keen on eating them. Substituting for a stand in product did not go down well with them!
Thankfully, order is now restored & they have almost eaten a whole bird feeder full in 10 minutes, following our delivery.

So many suet pellets that you purchase crumble and by the time you reach the bottom of the container you have a pile of crumbs or suet dust, however, these pellets appear to be of good construction and do not readily break down so will remain whole in the feeders. We have 4 hanging bird feeders in full view of our lounge, two contain the insect pellets and the other two have the berry pellets. We are blessed with several visits each day by blue, great, long tailed and coal tits along with the odd black cap and nuthatch. These are a favourite of the blackbirds and the thrush although we've not seen him for a while. The pellets are not going as fast as usual as the blackbirds are busy collecting mealworms for the young in the nest, but it won't be long before the suet pellets become the first choice as the chicks get bigger.

The birds are in hiding from the sparrowhawk at present so it's only the pigeons enjoying the feast at the minute. We have no problems with other carriers apart from Yodel! The package was broken again so perhaps you could use a stronger packaging material.

I mix thm with mealworm suet pellets, sunflower hearts and other mixed seeds and the birds queue up for it!

This batch of suet pellets with the berries has been better than the last, The others were quite crumbly and when it rained they just disintegrated, These are have held together well in the heavy rain we've experienced, and the blackbird are tucking in quite nicely. The female regularly takes mouthfuls away so I'm assuming it's to a nearby nest.

The birds love these, i keep them topped up even in the summer, the sparrows especially like them coming down - every day except Sunday! (Do they go out for Sunday lunch?)

I add the suet pellets to my regular bird food mix. They don't last long! The birds love them.

Was a bit of a struggle getting the pellets out of the box without a mess, though. I didn't realise it was two boxes strapped together until after I'd opened it. Perhaps a notice of some sort would have helped, as that way I could have separated the heavy boxes first.

My birds can't get enough of these Berry Suet Pellets particularly when feeding their young.

I tend to spread the Berry Suet Pellets on the ground as this gives the birds a wider area in which to feed thus allowing more of them to stand a better chance of getting a share. Much better than the bird table and especially beneficial for the blackbirds.

First time we had tried the berry pellets and the birds love them!

Good quality pellets, not powdery like some other brands.

The product itself is excellent.
However the packaging leaves much to be desired. As the Yodel delivery man deposited a very large & heavy box onto my carpeted hallway floor a large quantity of red berry suet pellets spilled out.

On opening the box I found that there was not plastic liner as stated. All the pellets were just loose. I then had to decant them into containers (which I had luckily) before realising that another box had been taped to the first box. The second contained the mealworm suet pellets again with no lining.

Twootz states that there should be a lining to prevent the fat content from seeping into the cardboard and also to ensure the pellets are contained. This is not the case.

Customers please ensure you have plenty of containers to scoop the loose pellets into and to ensure you do not have them all over the floor as I did!

I put handfuls of Berry Suet Pellets in with mixed wild bird seed and the birds love it!

great value for money but they do not last very long as the birds go mad for them as soon as I fill the feeders.

Well loved by the birds that visit my garden, especially during the cold winter months.

The pellets were received in good time and in perfect condition.

My only complaint, which is more by way of advice, is that two batches of pellets, which I took receipt of this morning, (2 x 12kg) were effectively packed into one box.

I am 68 and have a bad back (2 slipped discs) and consequently found the one box very heavy to handle, so much so that I had to open it on the doorstep where your courier had kindly left it at my request.

Having opened it I found one very flimsy plastic bag full of pellets which my wife and I carefully carried to our kitchen. I quickly concluded that I would need to access the other bag by turning the box over and removing the tape, which I did. However, on lifting the other plastic bag once again out of its box, we discovered that there was a hole in the underside of the bag which resulted, unavoidably. in a quantity of pellets being scattered all over our front step and garden.

To sumarise therefore:
Would it be possible for you to use stronger plastic bags for these products, which are quite heavy after all and because of their flimsy nature, liable to tear at the slightest knock.

Having said this I am very pleased with your pellets and your other bird feed products, which should save me and my wife a tidy sum of money over a year.

Only little gripe shame twootz don't send you an email when items are despatched ,just keep needing to go on your order each day to see if city link have put tracking No (as twootz are not consistent with there dispatching ) Other then that very good service,ALWAYS good quality.
