Squirrel nuts are simply peanuts still in their shell. Despite the name these are not nuts and are actually related to peas and beans. They are high in natural unsaturated fats and oils, minerals and vitamins and are a great treat for squirrels providing high levels of energy and health promoting vitamins.

Squirrel nuts are best fed from special feeders or tables to help keep squirrels away from wild bird feeding areas where they can be a bit of a nuisance.
