Yorkshire based has seen its bird food sales increase rapidly over its three month existence on the web. Since its official launch on the evening of the 30th January 2012, sales have climbed at an encouraging pace, indicating the ever changing buying habits of UK shoppers. It is particularly impressive given the number of elderly buyers that attracts and is a clear sign that more older people are using the net more than ever.

Simon Padgett, Head of Operations states that the reasons are very clear, "We offer fantastic value for money, regular offers with free delivery and the fact that our larger items are delivered directly to the door of our buyers, means they do not even have to leave the home for them". "We also get people buying the bird food for their elderly relatives who do not use the net and its very likely that most people who do not even use the net, have a relative who does. I had an older lady contact me over the Easter period explaining that she has never used a credit card over the internet, but was so impressed with our offers, she was going to make us her first transaction. We also have people in their seventies and eighties buying through us".

Due to the increasing traffic levels and demands for other animal feeds, Twootz will also be shortly introducing feeds that will include parrot, rabbit, guinea pig, hamster, rats, chinchilla, chipmunk, squirrel, cockatiel, ferret and live foods as well as pond and tropical fish food.
